  • Inquiry submissions (name, email, phone, reason for care)
  • Audit submissions

No account creation is required for patients to use our services.

From Practitioners

  • Profile information and practice details
  • Qi usage data and practice metrics
  • Payment information (processed via Stripe)

2. How We Use Information

Patient Data

We use patient data to connect patients with practitioners, improve search results, and analyze usage patterns. We do NOT sell patient data. We do NOT share patient data with third parties except the specific practitioner a patient is inquiring about.

Practitioner Data

We use practitioner data to provide Qi tools, generate practice content, send Qi Briefs, and process payments.

3. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored using Supabase, which is SOC 2 Type II certified. Payments are processed via Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

4. HIPAA Notice

Acupuncture Digest collects general inquiry information only. We do NOT collect protected health information (PHI).

We collect:

  • Name and contact information
  • General reason for seeking care

We do NOT collect:

  • Medical records
  • Diagnoses
  • Treatment history
  • Insurance information

Practitioners should NOT enter patient-identifying information into Qi tools.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Session management
  • Analytics (aggregate and anonymized)
  • Preference storage

We do not use advertising cookies and do not share data with advertising networks.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion, export, or correction of your data at any time. Contact us at privacy@acupuncturedigest.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Acupuncture Digest is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify users of material changes to this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
